5 Overrated Players To Avoid In 2016
Let's face the facts, the majority of you are ranking slaves. You all grab a terrible ESPN ranking sheet and draft next guy up. Not only is this strategy fruitless its flat out pussy. First off you should use your own knowledge of the game and make your own draft rankings knowing who your targets are per round. I know guys with recognizable names are tempting, but do not be fooled. Here are 5 NAMES you should avoid this season.
5. Demaryius Thomas
Now this is not fully his fault alone. He has no QB this year. Granted Sanchez and Paxton Lynch are QBs, but what have they done to prove they matter. Outside of that one big fact, DT seemed to struggle last year when Brock took over for an Injured Peyton Manning. It looks like he needs a bit of time to get in sync with a QB that is not Manning so expect a significant drop in production this year from DT.
4. Devonta Freeman
If you are drafting in dynasty hes not a terrible option. But if you are looking for repeat production this year that he did last year, do not count on it. Statistics show that when a RB is top dog in fantasy that they do not repeat it the following year. He could prove me and the stats wrong but do not count on it.
3. Todd Gurley
I am still scratching my head why everyone is on this guys dick. He had a decent showing for a rookie that missed a couple of games. He has some speed and he is def a good dynasty option, but with a new QB this year this team will shift to a more balanced approach taking away some of Gurley's workload. While i think he may one day be a decent back, Danny Woodhead out scored him in PPR last year so i am not buying into him as of yet.
2. Doug Martin
This guy really pisses me off and not so much him alone but the team hes on. He had an amazing rookie season and won a few people their leagues including me. Then for two seasons had a huge production drop, now last year he became fantasy relevant again and we are all supposed to believe and trust in him? NO! I do not and will not make the same mistake i did in 2013 and waste a high pick on him only for him to crumble again. Its a trap.
1. Jordy Nelson
Finally and my least favorite overrated piece of shit fantasy player, Jordy Nelson. This guy has had 3 note worthy seasons in his 8 year career and people speak of him as being a top 10 fantasy WR. It is perplexing to believe anyone could lack that much common sense. He plays with the greatest QB to ever play the game and yet stays relatively average when he is healthy. But then hes always hurt or just flat out sucks. This guy is so volatile I would not even pick him up off the Waivers if he was there after posting a 5 TD game... PURE TRASH.
