The OTA Disaster: Jalen Hurts Proves He's Still Just a Running Back

Well, well, well. Look what we have here.

While the mainstream sports media continues to hype up the Philadelphia Eagles as some sort of unstoppable powerhouse, the actual reality on the field is starting to leak out. Mandatory OTAs just wrapped up in Philly, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody here at UFO, Jalen Hurts closed things out in the absolute worst way possible.

According to local Eagles beat reporters on the ground, Hurts and the first-team offense looked like an absolute trainwreck to finish camp. He pulled in a miserable "D" grade for his performance, managing to complete an embarrassing 6 of 14 passes while tossing a brutal interception during team drills. In 7-on-7 work—where there isn't even a pass rush to panic

him—he could only complete four of eight passes.

Think about that. This is the "franchise quarterback" Eagles fans are pinning their Super

Bowl hopes on, and he can barely complete 40% of his passes against his own defense in a practice jersey.

The Excuses Have Already Started

Predictably, the Philly media is already building a golden wall of excuses to protect their

guy. They are screaming from the rooftops that "he’s learning a new offensive scheme

under Sean Mannion" and "DeVonta Smith wasn't practicing on the final day."

Give me a break.

The reality is simple: strip away the elite protection, take away his top-tier safety blankets,

and Jalen Hurts completely unravels because he cannot play the quarterback position at

an NFL level. He is a running back masquerading under center. When he actually has to

drop back, go through progressions, and deliver an accurate football on schedule, the tape exposes him every single time.

Instead of showing progress over the three weeks of camp, the reports confirm the offense actually went in the polar opposite direction—getting worse and more stagnant as the days went on. There is zero momentum going into the summer.

The UFO Verdict

To every Eagles fan who sent hate mail over our previous articles: how are those feathered hopes feeling right now?

The training camp panic is going to be beautiful to watch this summer. While your league mates reach for Hurts in the early rounds of your fantasy drafts based on his name recognition and cheap "Tush Push" rushing touchdowns, let them make the mistake. A quarterback who can't complete passes in June isn't going to magically turn into Patrick Mahomes in September. Stay far away from

Mythis fraudulent offense.
